Bushire Province

The province of Bushehr is located between latitudes 27-14' and 30-16' N and longitudes 50-06' and 52-58' E. It is bounded on the north by Khuzistan Province and some parts of Kohgiluye va Boyerahmad Province, on the east by Fars Province, on the south-east by Hormozgan Province, and on the south and west by the Persian Gulf. Its area is 25,360 square kilometres. According to 1995 divisions, Bushehr has 8 counties-- Bushehr, Tangestan, Deyr, Dashtestan, Dashti, Kangan, Genaveh and Deilam -13 towns, 17 rural districts and 36 villages. Its centre is Bushehr (Bushire). The island of Khark, which lies 57 kilometres northwest of Bushehr port, is a part of the province.

In the hills and the mountains of the province, there is a reach wild & bird life. Many sea animals live on this part of the Persian Gulf cost such as shrimps, sharks, dolphins and more.  

 

Bushire City

The city and one of Iran's chief ports, is located 400 kilometres south of Tehran, in south-eastern Iran on the Persian Gulf. The chief products of the surrounding area of Bushire are Shμraz wine, which has been famed for centuries; inlaid articles of wood; metalwork, especially silver; rugs; brocades and other textiles; cement; and fertilizer. Iran’s major natural resources include petroleum, natural gas, coal, chromium, copper, iron ore, lead, manganese, zinc and sulphur.

The most important places to visit in Bushehr are as following: Qala Holandiha (the Dutch Castle), Mabad Pozeidoon (The Sea God Temper), Gurestan Bastain (the ancient cemetery), Imamzadeh Mir Mohammad Hanifeh, Aramgah (tomb) Haj Mohammad Ibraheem Esfahani and the Old Church which is located in the Khark Island. Ab Anbar (water store) Qavam, Khaneh Qadimi (old hous) Qazi, Maqbareh (tomb) the English General, Gurestan (cemetry) shaab, N+Masjd (Mosque) Shaykh Sadoon Kilsay Maseeh Moqaddas (the Holy Crist Church). Khaned (the house of) Raies Ali Delvari which is located 45 kilometres of Bushehr. Armagah (tomb) abdul mohaymrn, which is lactated close the to Rey Shahr.  

Dashtestan

Dashtestan’s old name was "Shabankareh". The centre of the area was an old town called Eij, which was famous for its date and orange. It is located north to Bushehr and the weather here is very hot and humid.  

Dashti

The district of Dashti is located south to Bushehr city. The town Khormoj is the centre of this district. The town Kaki is the centre of the Dashti area, which was called "Mandestan".  

Tangistan

Tangistan is one of the districts of Bushehr and its centre is the town Ahrum. The well Known castle of Tangistan is located in this district.
